Well what a day Blog!! Penzance first thing in the mist, then Truro then an hour in bed with a headache! Wonder why! Out for a meal tonight with my daughters boss who owns and chefs at a local bistro..she knew about LL beforehand and I told her I would be drinking water so, bless her, she did exactly the same!! She cooked a fantastic meal for Ian and the girls and we drank our fizzy water (although she had a few red wines as well) and had a really good night!! Just proved to me that I can enjoy a night out without stuffing myself which is a good message for me with impending Christmas parties!!..and I won't have a headache tomorrow! To eat they had fresh figs stuffed with cornish camembert, wrapped in Parma ham then roast in the oven. then pork slow cooked on a tomato and paprika (brought back from Hungary by us!!) sauce with rice and then filo pastry cases with pears and chocolate and ice cream..I enjoyed them enjoying it and loved the smells!!Tomorrow I am taking my friend of 40 years out for a suprise birthday day out! We met on our first day at Grammar School so its a long friendship!! She is terrified as she doesn't know what we are doing and my daughter told her we are doing a bungie jump!! As if!! We are actually each having an hour in a new floatation tank in Truro, supposed to be mega relaxing, and then going somewhere nice for lunch, possibly St Mawes..so I am looking forward to that. Will tell you how the floatation tank goes!
